Chandler's Mission

Hey guys!  What a week! This week was more or less a regular week except we had a multizone conference in Tegucigalpa! It was super spiritual and really cool! I learned a lot, but one of my favorite things that they stressed was the importance of always finding new people! We've been asked as a mission to contact at least 10 people every day and to find at least 15 new investigators each week! That can be tough because our schedules start to fill up quickly! you really have to prioritize your schedule and always keep moving forward! So anyway after the multi zone (wednesday) Elder Martinez and I committed ourselves to getting the 15 new this week, even though we had already gone 3 days into the week and only had 2 news! But we prayed and after some awesome miracles, we found our 15th investigator yesterday at church! It was a  week of hard work but I know we had the support of the Lord! It was sweet! Hey guys!  Another week full of... I mean...   mostly  full of working! (except for those 3 days we couldn't leave the house of all because of some gnarly disease I got). But hey! On the bright side I've studied a lot of the Book of Mormon! And I've gotten to take lots of naps! Haha but yea it's difficult to have much progress when one week your companion is really sick and then the next week you are really sick. Our only regret is that we wish we would've been sick at the same time so that we wouldn't waste sooo much time at home. Oh well, this week, Elder Martinez and I are going to work super DUPER hard. We should have 2 or more baptisms and we're hoping to have plenty of people prepped for the following week so we can end Elder Martinez's mission with a bang (and also have some gnarly birthday baptisms!) Hey guys! Another awesome week out here! We actually didn't do a lot of work this week because OUT OF NOWHERE Elder Martinez got SUPER sick and we were forced to stay at home for a day and take it really easy and rest a lot the rest of the week. My dear father and trainer got the Dengue Virus which sucks on its own but really sucks because he had to spend his 4th to last week on the mission doing almost nothing. He really struggled because he felt like he was wasting so much time. In all, I'm really glad to have a companion that really wants to work despite challenges and obstacles. He's really been a great example to me. And even though we didn't spend a lot of time working, we still were able to do a lot with the little time we did use, so that was a blessing. Anyway this weekend was GENERAL CONFERENCE!! It was so awesome! We listened to it all in Spanish but it doesn't matter what language because it's all the words of the Lord through his divinel...

PDay Adventures Our Trip to the Temple Hello hello! I'll start with the crazy news first! Due to some unusual circumstances and difficulties in our area, my companion, Elder Martinez is now the Branch President and I'm a counselor so... From here on out I will refer to my companion as President Martinez. It's going to be very interesting to see how we juggle the responsibilities of branch presidency with the responsibilities of the missionary work, but we trust in the Lord and know that through Him, all things are possible. Now the important stuff: the Temple!!! We had the awesome opportunity this week to do a session in the Tegucigalpa, Honduras temple! It was a much-needed opportunity to recharge spiritually and to help us refocus on our true purpose here on the earth and why we're out on the mission.
