Chapter 13: La Casa del Señor (and other crazy news)

Our Trip to the Temple
Due to some unusual circumstances and difficulties in our area, my companion, Elder Martinez is now the Branch President and I'm a counselor so... From here on out I will refer to my companion as President Martinez. It's going to be very interesting to see how we juggle the responsibilities of branch presidency with the responsibilities of the missionary work, but we trust in the Lord and know that through Him, all things are possible.
Now the important stuff: the Temple!!!
We had the awesome opportunity this week to do a session in the Tegucigalpa, Honduras temple! It was a much-needed opportunity to recharge spiritually and to help us refocus on our true purpose here on the earth and why we're out on the mission. In the temple, there's always such a special feeling of peace and comfort, I highly recommend a visit to the temple in times of trial or difficulty.
Other than that, our week was pretty normal. We've been working hard and are so excited for General Conference next week! I'm super excited because Elder Martinez and I get to watch it in English! Woohoo!
Honduras fun facts:
-They drink a lot of different types of herbal teas, some of which are teas I've never even heard of before. Some of my favorites include guava tea and pineapple tea.
-Here in La Esperanza there's just some large dinosaur statues in the middle of a neighborhood and nobody really knows why. I think I may have sent pictures of them already, I'm not sure.
Well, that's all for this week! Love you all!

p.s. the temples have the best and cleanest bathrooms in the world. 10/10 highly recommend.
