Chapter 16: 20 years, 20 months!
Hey guys!
What a week!
This week was more or less a regular week except we had a multizone conference in Tegucigalpa! It was super spiritual and really cool! I learned a lot, but one of my favorite things that they stressed was the importance of always finding new people! We've been asked as a mission to contact at least 10 people every day and to find at least 15 new investigators each week! That can be tough because our schedules start to fill up quickly! you really have to prioritize your schedule and always keep moving forward! So anyway after the multi zone (wednesday) Elder Martinez and I committed ourselves to getting the 15 new this week, even though we had already gone 3 days into the week and only had 2 news! But we prayed and after some awesome miracles, we found our 15th investigator yesterday at church! It was a week of hard work but I know we had the support of the Lord! It was sweet!
Also, we did not baptize on my birthday, but that's not too important. We're working hard, don't you worry.
This week I had my birthday! I turned 20 years old! Also on the 27th I hit 4 months on the mission, which means I only have 20 months left! I'm so grateful for these last 20 years of life. I've had amazing parents that have supported me throughout my life and have raised me to be the person I am today. I am soo grateful for them. I also thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to be born into His Church in these latter days. I'm super grateful for the opportunity I have now to serve the mission, as a sort of tithe for the 20 years, I'm giving up two to the Lord, but even then I'm still eternally indebted to Him. I know my Savior lives. I know he loves us and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His true and living Church.
I'd like to say thanks to all the friends and family that have supported me and helped me become who I am today. I'm grateful for everything I've been given and hope to always do my best to give back.
Love you guys!
Make good choices!
