Chapter 33: Stake Conference

Hey guys!

I had a pretty eventful week!

Last week as Elder Chinchilla and I did our weekly planning we realized we didn't have a whole lot of progressing investigators... and that made us sad. So we determined that we were going to work hard and focus on teaching people who are truly ready to receive the Gospel. And it worked!

On Tuesday our zone leaders were kind enough to sacrifice a few hours of work in their area to do divisions with us to help us find new people and teach a few investigators that were having some difficulties. We started the day with just 1 person with a baptismal date and ended with 3! Elder Chinchilla and Elder Sullivan (our zone leader) went and taught a couple we had contacted a couple weeks ago and they said they had been waiting for us to come back and share more! After teaching the Restoration, they accepted the invitation to be baptized and are on date for April! (they've got to get married first - we're working on that). Then a few days later, Elder Chinchilla and I went back with them and met their 13 year old son who ALSO wants to get baptized so.....

That's our big miracle for the week. Ask and ye shall receive.

Also this week we had stake conference! It was awesome! Elder Uceda from the Area Presidency came and taught about the Sabbath Day, the importance of the sacrament and true repentance! It was awesome! We also had 7 investigators show up to church! It was an amazing week full of blessings. And sweat. We sweat a lot this week.

Anyway now Elder Chinchilla and I are busier than ever, preparing Henry for his baptism THIS SATURDAY and following up with the other people that came to church to put up more baptismal dates!
