Chapter 44: Multizones and protests!

It's been an interesting week!

A few scattered thoughts:
-This last week Elder Sanchez and I put up a baptismal date with Amy Diana, the sweet daughter of an inactive family we've been working with
-I got sick on Monday, I'm mostly better now, but my nose has been running almost non-stop for three days now, so that's annoying
-Even though this area was a struggle for me in the beginning, and I spent my first two transfers here missing my little pueblo of La Esperanza, I'm really going to miss this area when I get transferred in a couple weeks
-I'm starting to think a 5th transfer in the office wouldn't be the worst thing

Multizones:
Two weeks ago our mission president went to Guatemala for a training meeting with all the mission presidents in the Central America Area, and these last couple of days we've had our multizone conferences where President shared a lot of things they talked about in the President conference.

The multizone was awesome, one of the things that stood out to me was something our mission president shared about converts. He shared the conversion story of Parley P. Pratt and of Brigham Young and made a comparison between the quick, almost immediate conversion of Parley P. Pratt and the longer story of how Brigham Young came to find the truth. Our president shared with us that not all of the people we teach are going to convert over night. In fact, many may not even read the passages of the Book of Mormon we share with them. But taught us that we need to be patient, address the needs of the people we teach, and help them grow and become converted over time, through constant support and encouragement from missionaries and members alike. That was a cool message.

Protests:
Also this week there have been many protests. Streets have been barricaded, tires lit on fire, stores robbed of everything inside. I've been safe the whole time, but it's been really crazy. The most annoying part of it all is how much traffic the protests cause for the entire city.
Gotta love Honduras! ðŸ˜€

Anyway I hope everyone is doing well, have a good week everyone!
Elder Jensen
