This week has been a crazy one!
Surprise multizone:
On Monday night we got a call telling us we were going to have a special multizone conference on Thursday. Hermano Corbit from the Missionary Department came out here to give us some training and taught an awesome lesson on faith and promised blessings! We've set some high mission goals for the coming month and are going to work hard as a mission to be able to achieve the results promised to us by the Area Presidency and other General Authorities!
Interviews with Pres Mejia:
Last Friday our mission president came out to do our interviews. I had a cool experience with him where he thanked me for leaving the area in better condition than how I found it... Which is a bittersweet comment, considering it implies that I'm leaving my beloved Barrio Manantial
Pres. told me to say my goodbyes to the members and all, and tonight I'll learn where my new area is and all that jazz.
Miracle Baptism:
Andrea got baptized! There were a bunch of last-minute obstacles that popped up, but it all turned out fine! Roberto (my first convert in this area from 6 months ago) got to baptize her! It was awesome watching someone I taught and helped get baptized and receive the priesthood turn around and get to baptize someone else I've been able to teach! Such a sweet experience!
Saying Goodbyes:
Yesterday at church I said my goodbyes to most of the members (I have lots of pictures coming your way) - We also did a big tour of our area to visit all the members, converts, and close investigators yesterday. We ended up eating a big lunch, 2 dinners, and lots of galletas and other snacks that people gave us. I was sooo full by the end of the day!! I'm grateful to have been able to serve this ward these last 6 months and I've made some really good friendships with the people here! It's going to be hard to say goodbye!
But life moves on, and I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for me!
I love you all, and make good choices!
Elder Jensen
