Chapter 34: A Pretty Uneventful Week
Hey guys!
Another good week on the mission. Just this week didn't have anything too special happen. We had interviews with our President and that was nice. Henry didn't get baptized because he drank coffee BUT he's been going strong since Monday so we're certain this week is the week for him!
Things in the office have been pretty relaxed, but this week we're going to be prepping for transfers, which is always an adventure.
So here's a something spiritual to give this email some substance:
As a mission, we're reading the Book of Mormon together. Before starting, I read a Liahona article that Hank Smith wrote a few years ago about how the Book of Mormon teaches us how to be happy. So as I've been reading this time through, I've taken time to mark any scripture that has to do with happiness and let me tell you, there's a LOT.
It's helped me realize that there are many things we can do to find happiness in this life, and all of them have to do with following Jesus Christ. If you're looking for happiness, you can find it in the Book of Mormon and as you strive to come unto Christ. There are many blessings that our Father has already prepared for us, we just need to put in our part to keep His commandments and ask for these blessings.
I know the Book of Mormon is true and that as we take time to study it and apply its precepts, we will come to truly know our Savior and see His hand in our lives.
Make good choices
Have a good week
